Use Wake
Main tab
The Main tab shows the loaded Jira issues with the selected fields in the configured order. Use it to inspect the individual records behind a grouped total or chart.
The table reflects only the issues loaded during the current gadget request.
Grouped tab
The Grouped tab nests issues under the configured category fields and calculates the configured metrics.
Typical uses:
- issue count by Status;
- issue count by Assignee;
- Story Point sum by Epic or Team;
- average numeric value by Priority;
- nested Paid/trial grouping such as Project then Status.
Partial-data indicator
When Wake is still loading, is stopped by a rate limit, or reaches the Free cap, grouped totals are marked as partial. The numbers are internally consistent with the loaded issue set but may not represent the entire filter.
CSV export
Paid/trial installations can export a selected grouped result to CSV.
- The file is created in the browser.
- The Issue Key column is always included first.
- The file contains at most 1,000 issue rows.
- If a group contains more than 1,000 rows, the file is truncated and the UI should disclose the truncation.
- After download, the customer controls the file under its device, browser, storage, and retention policies.
Chart tab
The Chart tab offers two modes.
Analyzer
Choose:
- a categorical field for the bars;
- an optional second categorical field for the legend/stack; and
- Issue count, Sum of a numeric field, or Average of a numeric field.
The Analyzer only offers fields already configured in the gadget. This avoids a second Jira data fetch.
From config
This mode renders a chart from the saved group-by and metric configuration.
Large filters and Resume loading
Wake paints partial results during a large crawl. If Jira returns a retryable error after some pages have loaded, Wake can retain the checkpoint and show Resume loading. Wait briefly after a Jira rate-limit message, then resume.
Changing the filter or selected field set invalidates the checkpoint because the previous pages no longer match the new query.
